Necib presents in South Korea Algerian experience in access to drinking water

GYEONGJU (South Korea)- Minister of Water Resources Hocine Necib presented, Monday in Gyeongju (South Korea), Algeria’s experience in terms of access to drinking water while noting the “barely perceptible” difference between various social classes to access it.
Necib spoke at a round table under the theme “Improvement of Access to Water and Sanitation for All,” organized as part of the 7th World Water Forum ministerial conference being held 12-17 April in the two South Korean cities of Gyeongju and Daegu.
Co-chairing the works of this round table, the minister said that the public policy conducted by Algeria in this field aims at, first, sustainably guaranteeing to households supplies in sufficient quantity, required quality and at fair and progressive rates allowing to better manage demand.
The approach of Algerian authorities is also focused on the reinforcement of access to public service of sanitation to ensure the safety and protection of water ecosystems, he underlined in front of participants from over 170 countries.
